Peace of Mind with Toyota Safety Sense

Looking Out for You During Any Drive

When it comes to safe driving, we all try our best. But, with natural blind spots, drivers doing odd and unpredictable things and unplanned events occurring, thereā€™s only so much we as drivers can do.

To help, Toyota makes your drives easier and safer by looking out for the unexpected. With Toyota Safety Sense (TSS)* guiding every adventure, youā€™ll cruise highways, back roads and city roads with full confidence, as your vehicle acts as your extra set of eyes.

Experience the benefit of Toyota Safety Sense in person. Stop by Toyota of Rock Hill to take a TSS-equipped model for a test drive.

What Is Toyota Safety Sense?

Answering the question on everyoneā€™s mind, Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) is a bundle of driver-assist features to keep you safe on the road. These features work through cameras, sensors and radar applied throughout your vehicle to observe the surrounding traffic and send you alerts upon sensing something you wonā€™t notice.

With Toyota Safety Sense by your side, get ready for rides with fewer dings, dents and collisions.

What Are Toyota Safety Sense Features?

Toyota Safety Sense applies six different systems to keep you drives safe and secure.

Say ā€œgoodbyeā€ to fender benders with Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. With this feature, your vehicle scans the road ahead and sends you visual and audible alerts when a collision with a car, debris or pedestrian seems imminent. This gives you enough time to swerve out of the way or hit the brakes. If you donā€™t take action, your vehicle will apply the brakes for you to avert the collision.

With Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, highway driving becomes a breeze, as your vehicle automatically drives at a set speed and distance from the traffic ahead. Itā€™s also a great tool when you want to control your lead foot and drive at the speed limit. With Lane Tracing Assist, your vehicle will stay centered in its lane while following traffic ahead ā€” requiring less work from you.

Staying in your lane feels tricky when highways get curvy. But Lane Departure Alert sends you visual and audio alerts when you begin to leave your lane unintentionally. This gives you a chance to re-center and avoid collisions from the side. For Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, youā€™ll get alerts to help you keep from leaving the road when traveling at speeds of 32 MPH+.

Light up the road ahead with Automatic High Beams. A sensor on your windshield looks out for headlights ahead and toggles to low beams as a courtesy and safety to other drivers.

Not sure what the speed limit is? With Road Sign Assist, your vehicle will show you all the signs on the road, including speed limits, yield, do not enter and more. Itā€™s the perfect way to stay informed anywhere you travel.
